People who are hungry can order their food online on Seamless.com.But if you have an account on their website and you’re not using it anymore, you might be wondering how to close that account.
Honestly: I couldn’t find an answer myself while I was navigating through their website, so I decided to contact the customer support team.
1 Asking their customer support how to close my profile..
I received a clear, but disappointing answer from the customer care team: “Unfortunately, accounts are not able to be deleted. We recommend you going into the account and scramble it instead. We have to keep all accounts active for record keeping purposes.”
If it’s impossible to remove an account, we need to respect that. But let’s start to scramble it like they suggest 🙂 We’ll show in step 2 how to do that.
2 Go to seamless.com and sign in to your account
3 Choose Profile in the menu
and remove all your personal data (name, email,…) and replace them by Lorem Ipsum.
You can do the same for your personal address and payment information and erase as many information as possible.
✅ Result
I know… It’s frustrating to conclude that it’s impossible to close an account, but by removing all your personal data, addresses & payment information, you make the account as ‘unrecognizable’ as possible. It’s a better to leave the platform this way than to leave it with all of your personal data still in it.
